After 80, every year without a headstone is a milestone!

To celebrate my birthday (Today), here are some questions related to age:

1. What is the best thing about your birthday?

Everybody is so nice!  I've lost count of the number of birthday wishes I've received.  And Ned is making whatever I want for dinner (roast leg of lamb)

2. What is your favorite thing to do for your birthday?
Just kind of hang around the house.  We will go out for lunch with a bunch of friends and dinner at our Mexican daughter's restaurant, then plan for Walt's birthday the next week

3. What’s one thing you learned in the past year?

5. What’s the best thing about turning a year older?
People expect less from you when you reach 80.

6. What was the most fun thing you did in the last year?

7. If you could understand any animal, which would it be?
Oh the elephant, definitely.  They are so interesting.

Of course it would be nice to talk with our dogs too.

8. What is something that used to be hard, but is now easy?
How about reversing that question--what is something that used to be easy and is now hard...that would be sleeping!

9. If you could only keep one thing in your room, what would it be?
Well, I don't have a bedroom per se; I sleep in the family room and the one thing I need to have there is the TV.

10. Which person makes you laugh the most? Why?
It's a four-footed person.  Bubba makes me laugh every day.

12. If you were to bury a secret treasure, where would you bury it?

Probably in the back yard with the dog graves.

Since got my share of my mother's estate, I've been able to send small monetary gifts to my Compassion kids
