Stealing's Last Meme, with Bud - But We Will Go On!

Hi! This is going to be a wrap for this version or edition of Sunday Stealing. If you are a fan of Saturday 9, we posted late this week. It’s here.

I told the story of why we are leaving last week. This blog has been a blast from the start. The era where we always had 70 players was awesome. The following now still ranks as the blogosphere's most played weekly meme. Thank you for that.

When I wrote this intro, no one had offered to take it over. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT Stealing will go on! The new host will be Mr. Lance from the blog Solitary Haze. I've known him for years. He writes a very funny blog and is my "favourite" Canadian Blogger. Not only will he do a great job as your host, but also I encourage you to read his blog. It's sometimes witty and dry and at other times plain silly. I've given him a completely solo rein. He's committed to keeping my pal Judd around (this was NOT a condition - there were none) and I think will also bring in a fresh view and perspective. I think I leave him with a great following, and you with a dynamic author. Please wish him well as he takes the chair starting next week.

My own blog ended last week If you have not read my last post, do me a favor and stop by, read it and leave a comment before I fade completely away by clicking here. Last night, was my stag party. (Kathy & I wed on the 20^th!) We got the WTIT “band” together and we recorded comedy. WTIT was the reason I entered the blogosphere. The WTIT.net website had this “blog” thing. I got hooked. But now WTIT is recording a lot again. I can’t do both. So I’m leaving the blogosphere.

The End is Near Meme, Part Two

All Good Things...

Soon, we are coming to a close.

Hi, I’m Bud. I’ve authored both Saturday 9 and Sunday Stealing since 2007. It has been both an honor and a blast. But as a lot of bloggers have, I feel it is time to move on. My own blog will change its function (a fancy way of saying “reorganized but no new posts") and I will mosey toward other projects. I want to work more on a book and WTIT recordings. Something has to give and soon it will be this.

If you have an interest in writing and taking over either of these memes, contact me. It would be a “rent to own” situation. I gave away a blog some years ago and disliked a lot of what it became. I’d rather Saturday 9 & Sunday Stealing close on a high note than continue a shell of what they are. The reason we will keep posting for a bit would be to allow a new writer to keep our players.
